4:48Now Playing(THIS IS NOT A RECIPE, DON'T TRY THIS UNLESS YOU READ UP ABOUT IT ELSEWHERE FIRST.) This was our little experiment frying a turkey on Thanksgiving Day. It went great. Took 45 minutes. And the turkey was absolutely delicious. Near the end of the frying, we heard this amazingly loud noise coming from the south. It was a flock of geese overhead, looking all confused. Eventually they were joined by another flock coming from the north, then all flew south together. I inserted that vid for fun.
Oh and some folks thought the bird was burnt. Not at all. It was perfect - it's just the way the oil cooks the skin that it looks so dark.
