Leading up to the Second Trump Administration, there were happenings and public statements which led to serious online debate over American immigration policy, specifically concerning the H1-B Visa program, which is said to allow for workers to come to America to fill our demand for talent across several fields, particularly STEM. This has led to the suppression of American STEM wages and many college graduates being underemployed. But proponents of this program argued that America does not produce MERIT anymore due to our laziness and lack of interest in education, whereas countries in Asia do not suffer from these same deficiencies. SO -- let us then defend ourselves and debunk the myth of merit-based immigration once and for all!
