as posted by the channelIn today’s live stream, Joseph Z teaches how we can gain momentum in life, and know God on a heart level. He cautions against the present rebellious modern culture and how they hold little or no regard for good authority. He went on to reference the word of God from the Book of 1 Corinthians 4:14-16 to warn us about the lack of many fathers in Christendom, and the dangers of boy instructors which he fears leads to the loss of a revelation and the risk of institutionalization of a teaching; for when a teaching becomes institutionalized, it loses the life and power that creates results.
Moving on, Joseph brings to our understanding who a spiritual father is; explaining further that a spiritual father is one who has a revelation, spends time with God, and has a fresh “now” word for their generation. He went further to caution against leaders continuously repeating what they’ve heard, losing their revelation, and as such being unworthy of leading those who look up to them. Additionally, he explains that a father is one who has a revelation, has their heart under control, and also has fruits in their life based on the word of God.
Again, Joseph brings our attention to the word of God taken from the Book of Hebrews 6:9-12 to enlighten us more about the things that accompany our salvation so that we do not succumb to sluggishness but rather imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises of God. He cautions that a lot of the people who are imitated by younger ones today are unworthy of imitation because they lack the fruits of a good spiritual father.
Furthermore, Joseph explains patience to mean the ability to remain true to our revelation regardless of whether we’re winning or losing. He insists that faith and patience are the necessary requirements for being a spiritual father. He challenges us to begin to know the Fathers so that through faith and imitation, we can be like them. He went on to state that, although boy instructors are good, we need to be around the originators to avoid the ugly corridors of institutionalization. He then charges us to readjust the image we have in our mind about spiritual fathers and learn through the word of God the best way to walk with one.
