Next, Joseph brings to our knowledge that John the Revelator outlived the rest of the apostles because he had a revelation of Christ’s love for him. He assures us that God is not angry at us, for, He came to offer Himself for our sake because He wants us to live, move, and have our being. He references Isaiah 61:1 to demonstrate further the reason why Christ came; He defeated sin in the flesh to free all those who believe in Him from the punishment due to their sins.
Joseph further asserts that we’re in the age of the Lord’s favor, thus, we must walk in the fullness of what Christ has for us by having a revelation of what He did and receiving all the gifts of salvation He obtained for us, through His sacrifice. He enlightens us more about God’s nature, revealing that He’s ever-faithful and consistent; insisting that if we can do the difficult, God will do the impossible.
