Next, he elaborates on prayer, interpreting the Greek word for prayer (Proseuche), which signifies both a prayer and a place of prayer. He highlights the power of unified prayer, referencing how it led to Peter’s miraculous release from prison as described in Acts 12:5-16. He reveals that prayers made together in a gathering hold great potency, creating a powerful response from the spirit.

Joseph then explains intercession, one of the four forms of prayer. He teaches that intercession is a powerful form of prayer directed to God on behalf of oneself or another person. He helps us understand that Jesus is our great high priest and intercessor, interceding for us before the throne of heaven at all times. Notably, he points out that intercession involves confronting conflicts in the spiritual realm until a breakthrough is achieved. To illustrate this, he references Luke 22:31, which shows how Jesus interceded for Peter and continues to intercede for each of us today.

Finally, Joseph explains the last form of prayer, which is giving thanks (Eucharistia). This form signifies both gratitude and worship directed toward God. To demonstrate this point, he references Psalm 149:5-9, which illustrates how praise and worship act as a two-edged sword in the hands of believers, enabling them to execute vengeance on nations and punishment on peoples, as well as carry out written judgments. He clarifies that combining praises with God’s word creates a space of authority, encouraging us to pray effectively to gain ground in every area of our lives.
