Joseph also recounts the story of Polycarp, who sacrificed his life for the love of Christ. He remained strong during persecution and refused to worship any god but God Almighty, which ultimately led to his brutal death by fire. He encourages us to be brave like those who have gone before us, who held onto their faith even unto death.
