This is a conversation about how to increase goodness in the world, and it shows how innovators are all trying to figure out things and don't have all the answers right. It was filmed at Hanson Robotics, in Hong Kong, in 2017. I am the woman in the chair, David Hanson is the one in black jeans, Ben Goertzel is the one with long hair.

We each get things wrong in the conversation, and each are convinced we are right -- but at least we're all friends, and we're talking about it.

It is uncut, which means it's embarrassing at times. But I really think it's important for people to see other people trying to grapple with big questions that shape our world, to fall down, and get back up again.

For the record, the conservation of information is more commonly discussed in physics today than at the time of this filming, and David was on top of that while it appears Ben and I were not. However, the question of what information can be to an observer who has access to all information -- in other words, whether information exists if there are no separate parties with differing knowledge -- is still interesting to me.

Also -- the reason I don't allow comments is women scientists generally get more derogatory comments about their appearance than other scientists do, and I don't want to support that, so it's easier just to leave comments disabled.
