YouTube Description
as posted by the channelJulia and Carmen are delighted to welcome Lisa Parker, MFA () we hear and elaborate on wonderful stories from Lisa's experience working in operations with DoD and especially focus on how she has insightfully and carefully brought collaborative methods into the field. We end on a delicious selection of her poetry, including one poem inspired by Carmen's statement about awe in one of the first Pandas episodes. We had to nag her a lot to get her to read her poems, as Lisa is obviously a quiet unassuming Southern Lady.
Lisa told us that just after this episode (recorded on Dec. 18, 2023), she discovered that her friend and fellow writer Bill Brown had died, so we send up this show for Bill, may he rest and write in peace.
A video of Bill reading some great poems from his books
Here is some information about the other authors and poets Lisa mentioned:
A great video of Lee reading from a hilarious short story (starts at ~6 min mark)
Silas House
Maurice Manning
Here's the link to the song Carmen mentioned based on the short story by Flannery O'Connor.
As always, if you want to learn more about Julia and Carmen check their LinkedIn profiles.
We don't sh--dance in this episode as it went long and Julia was out-voted. But we continue to add a song or two to the Pandas playlist every week.

[Note: if you have access to iTunes, you should know that it is a much better streaming service for musical artists, paying them much higher wages per stream than Spotify and being less annoying in terms of everything a musical artist needs.]
