YouTube Description
as posted by the channelPrecognition meets AI: cognitive neuroscientist Dr. Julia Mossbridge discusses time, consciousness, and the emergence of new minds.
have a nice disclosure! — Julia Mossbridge (Amazon)
Dr. Julia Mossbridge joins us for a wide-ranging conversation that starts with precognition and “presentiment,” and quickly opens into deeper territory: why “relevance and interestingness” may matter more than distance or time, and how intuition might work through two different pathways—from information looping back to the self to a more mysterious “universal” channel that delivers information outside the usual cause-and-effect narrative.
From there, the discussion turns to Consciousness, AI & New Minds: whether LLMs are manipulative mirror-neuron traps or an evolutionary training ground for empathy; what it would mean to “parent” a new non-biological species; and why our relationship with AI may force a realignment around respect, responsibility, and even unconditional love.
Dr. Julia Mossbridge is an American cognitive neuroscientist, author and educator who works on understanding and training exceptional human performance including psi effects, notably on precognition and presentiment. She is a Senior Distinguished Fellow in Human Potential at the Center for the Future of AI, Mind, and Society at Florida Atlantic University, Member of the Loomis Innovation Council at the nonpartisan Stimson Center, Affiliate Professor in the Department of Biophysics and Physics at University of San Diego, and a founder of the nonprofit TILT: The Institute for Love and Time.
