In 2025, the House is scheduled to be in session for approximately 130–140 days out of 365. The Senate has a similar schedule.
In this video, Walt talks about the issues with our taxpayers not working for us while taking lavish vacations, retreats, or being away from work. A prime example is the 2021 winter storm in Texas.
Ted Cruz, a.k.a., Cancun Cruz decided to take his family on a getaway vacation while Texas was dealing with a snow crisis, which sent the state into a national emergency.
As the working class accrues vacation time, Congress can have a 2-week recess because they want to get away from the Epstein files to protect Donald Trump. Just ask Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson.
Let's end with this....Congress gets the best healthcare, makes 6 figures, and has more vacation time in one year than we're able to get in 20 years working for the same company.
