A Hawaii jury has found anesthesiologist Gerhardt Konig GUILTY of attempted manslaughter after he allegedly tried to push his wife off a cliff and bash her head during a birthday hike in Oahu (March 2025).
His wife, Arielle Konig, testified that the attack was intentional — while Konig claimed he acted in self-defense. The jury rejected his defense, delivering a guilty verdict on April 8.

Under Hawaii law, attempted manslaughter (based on extreme mental or emotional disturbance) is classified as a Class B felony.
