Reject The Recall & Defeat XL Pipeline w/ Kshama Sawant, Dallas Goldtooth & Joshua Kahn Russell

Kshama Sawant has served on the Seattle City Council since 2014. She is a member of the political party Socialist Alternative. Her most recent re-election campaign was in 2019 in which Amazon spent an unprecedented $1.5m to defeat her. She has been a consistent advocate of raising taxes on the wealthy, expanding city services for the city’s workers and for environmental rights and Palestinian human rights. She is facing a right wing recall in retaliation for spearheading victories like $15 minimum wage and the Amazon Tax.

Dallas Goldtooth (Mdewakanton Dakota & Dińe) is the Keystone XL Campaign Organizer for the Indigenous Environmental Network. He co-founded the Indigenous comedy group The 1491s and is a Dakota culture & language teacher. He is also a poet, traditional artist, powwow emcee, and comedian.

Joshua Kahn Russell is the executive director of the wildfire project, which helps train and support frontline social movement organizations. He has helped grassroots campaigns win against banks, fossil fuel companies, logging corporations, and police departments. He is a movement facilitator who has trained tens of thousands of activists and has spent the last 19 years as an organizer, campaign strategist, and non-violent direct action coordinator with The Ruckus Society. His books include “Organizing Cools The Planet”, “Beautiful Trouble”, and “A Line In The Tar Sands”.
