It’s not enough that the German government has smeared Roger Waters as an antisemite for defending Palestinians’ human rights and criticizing Israel; Hamburg’s antisemitism commissioner, Stefan Hensel, suggested Waters was a Nazi in a very sneaky and dishonest way. Adam Broomberg, a Jewish artist based in Germany, who was targeted by Hensel and who had his own show canceled over his alleged anti semitism (but actual defense of Palestinians and criticism of Israel) explains.

Adam Broomberg (b. 1970, Johannesburg) is an artist, activist and educator. He currently lives and works in Berlin. He is on the faculty of the MA Photography & Society program at The Royal Academy of Art, The Hague which he co-designed. His work is held in major public and private collections including Centres Pompidou, MoMA, The Stedelijk Museum, Tate, Yale University Art Gallery and Victoria & Albert Museum
