Palestinian-American writer Susan Abulhawa describes what her friends and family in Gaza are experiencing as “unfathomable” and calls what’s happening to Palestinians “beyond dehumanization.” She says, of the Israelis celebrating the killing of Palestinians, “I don't think normal people can ever see images like that, even if it's of somebody you really hate” and “find glee.” And she indicts the Israeli doctors who signed a letter calling for the bombing of Al Shifa hospital.
Susan Abulhawa is a Palestinian American writer and human rights activist. She is the author of Mornings in Jenin, which was translated into 32 languages and sold more than a million copies, The Blue Between Sky And Water and Against the Loveless World. She is the founder of Playgrounds for Palestine and the executive director of Palestine Writes ().
