Palestinian-American student Layla Saliba talks about being sprayed with a chemical weapon, being doxed by a doxing truck on campus, and being called a Russian agent by Nancy Pelosi. She warns that “our elected officials frankly, are not prepared to deal with how angry the American public is right now about this. So they are scrambling and trying to find anything that they can to fit their narrative. There's all this talk about lobbying from Russia and spying from Russia. Nobody ever talks about AIPAC or Israel as a foreign.”
Layla Saliba (she/her) is a Palestinian American graduate student at Columbia University. She is studying social work with a concentration in policy practice. She is passionate about disability justice and wants to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for everyone. She truly believes that a better world is possible for everyone and that is what guides her advocacy work. In her free time, you can find her feeding the NYC pigeons, reading, and spending time with friends.
