Activist and organizer Lauren Steiner argues that though Biden has done some good things domestically, he’s been worse on foreign policy than Trump. And based on what Kamala has said, she’s no better. Lauren says that in 2020, “Trump ran on trying to get us out of this permanent wars. When Trump went on talking about how we needed to get out of Syria, he was mocked relentlessly. I'll never forget how Rachel Maddow mocked him. She's such a war monger.” Biden, for his part, “reignited the cold war with Russia,
started a new cold war with China and now he didn't get us back into the Iran deal. So now we're at risk of a war with Iran. So, the Biden presidency, while it's been good in certain key domestic areas, has been horrible with foreign policy. And based on Kamala's speech there about the most lethal fighting force, I don't see any change from him to her.”
Muslim-American activist and DNC delegate Nadia Ahmad argues “we need to not think about moving the needle. We need a seismic tectonic shift and that's not happening right now.” Nadia also talks about her own identity, the Democratic party’s racism towards its own Muslim-American supporters, and how the FBI targets Muslims.
Nadia Ahmad is a DNC delegate from Florida, DNC Interfaith Council Co-Chair, DNC Women's Caucus Executive Committee member, part of Delegates Against Genocide and a law professor from Orlando. She's filed a complaint with Chicago police against the Democratic National Committee over the "Islamophobic Attack" she experienced at the Democratic National Convention.
