Israel’s blockade on Gaza has inflicted famine conditions on Palestinians, with hundreds dying by starvation, and thousands more on the brink of death. On Monday night, over 1,000 Jewish people protested the starvation siege in Gaza that is being imposed by Israel and facilitated by the U.S.
Udi Aloni, Israeli filmmaker and the son of the late Israeli minister Shulamit Aloni attended the protest and said "I think that every Jewish person should wear [a Palestine pin] until the end of the genocide." I asked him about his mother, who famously said that Israel uses antisemitism and the Holocaust as "a trick" to deflect criticism. "I miss her so much," he said. "Hopefully she's looking down on us, ashamed of Israel and hopefully proud of us."
