Ed Augustin is a journalist based in Havana. He broadcasts for NBC News, Al Jazeera and France 24. He writes for the Financial Times, the New York Times and the Guardian. With twelve years experience in Cuba, Ed has reported on power blackouts, state repression, and how sanctions are spurring Cubans to migrate to the United States. He has written, shot and produced documentaries about hurricanes and Guantánamo Bay prison. He has also reported from Venezuela, Haiti, Honduras, Britain and France.
