Today, July 14, 2026 at 3:30 PM ET, U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal (D-WA-07) will hold a press conference with Epstein survivors to announce the Recovery, Enforcement, and Damages to Assure Confidential Treatment (REDACT) Act, legislation to protect survivors whose personal information was improperly disclosed during the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) release of records related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation and prosecution.

The REDACT Act would establish clear accountability for the DOJ, allow survivors to seek compensation for harm caused by the unlawful disclosure of their personal information, and strengthen protections against future breaches of personally identifiable information (PII). The announcement comes ahead of Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche’s upcoming Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing.
