"An elderly woman receiving intimate care deserves the dignity of female-only careers.
A woman in hospital, frightened or unwell, deserves to know she will not wake up next to a man, in a female-only ward. Again, no matter how he dresses or what he may refer to himself as.
...There is a chilling effect in this council. I've spoken to members where you are not able to speak freely and truthfully, and that includes employees of the council."
