Schooling options can play a role in whether a family accepts an assignment or even decides to leave military service altogether. According to a new survey of servicemembers, veterans, and their spouses, while 80% of military connected children are enrolled in traditional public schools only 33% of respondents said it’s their top preference. Just like civilian families, children of military families deserve choices in education. Education savings accounts, vouchers, and tax-credit scholarships could provide that.
