On April 20, 1999, two students attacked Columbine High School, killing 13 and wounding 21 more. On February 14, 2018, a former student did the same thing at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. 17 more fatalities. 15 more wounded. Nearly two decades separate these tragedies--and yet, our grieving nation is still searching for a solution. We know what does (and doesn't) work to improve school safety. Rather than allow another tragedy to occur, it's time to set aside political agendas and get serious about school safety.
