Gone are the days of newsies and reporters wiring in stories over landlines. We're in a digital age where information moves much faster.

But is our accessibility to news media actually helping society become better informed? For many Americans, drawing from such a well of information was once done without second thought; news organizations were open about their bias. Now, trust in mainstream media has slipped away as outlets have slowly reshaped themselves, become increasingly fractured and decentralized, and subliminally taken sides as political camps and reported seemingly “fake news.”

But not all hope is lost.

This week, Tiffany Roberts sits down with Rob Bluey, vice president of communications at the Heritage Foundation and the executive editor of The Daily Signal to debunk myths about media bias, hack down to the core of what's really going on, and what a “healthy diet” of news in this digital age looks like.
