9:55Now PlayingHans von Spakovsky joined Breitbart News Tonight to discuss the latest rulings coming out of the Supreme Court and how Chief Justice John Roberts and other justices have failed to uphold the Constitution.
For example, there was the legally wrong, recent decision in Department of Homeland Security v. Regents of the University of California, in which Roberts and the liberal justices refused 5-4 to allow the Trump administration to terminate the unlawful Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program implemented by the Obama administration without congressional approval.
And don’t forget the unsound decision, authored by Justice Neil Gorsuch, where six of the nine justices took it upon themselves to legislate from the bench by rewriting and effectively amending the language of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to include sexual orientation and gender identity—something Congress specifically has rejected.
Roberts’ most recent ruling to strike down a Louisiana law that required abortionists to have the same local hospital admitting privileges as those of health providers in the state, yet again illuminates his disturbing tendency to act more like a lawmaker than a Chief Justice.
