as posted by the channelThis animated historical documentary covers the Battle of Shiloh which was fought in 1862 within the American Civil War between the United States of America and the Confederate States of America. Shiloh was the biggest battle in the first phase of the war between the North and the South and largely decided the fate of the Western Theatre of the conflict. Union forces were commanded by Ulysses S. Grant and Don Carlos Buell, while the Confederacy troops were led by Albert Sidney Johnston and Pierre-Gustave Toutant de Beauregard. The sides suffered almost 25 thousand casualties.
