YouTube Description
as posted by the channelShanann Watts and her daughters were reported missing on August 13, 2018, by a friend who became concerned after Shanann missed a doctor's appointment. Chris Watts initially claimed he did not know where his family was and even gave interviews to local news stations, pleading for their safe return.
By August 15, Chris Watts was charged with multiple counts of first-degree murder, unlawful termination of a pregnancy, and tampering with a body. On November 6, 2018, he pleaded guilty to all charges to avoid the death penalty. On November 19, 2018, he was sentenced to five life sentences without the possibility of parole, three to be served consecutively and two concurrently.
Investigations revealed that Chris was having an affair with a co-worker at the time of the murders and wanted a fresh start. This is believed to have been a significant factor in his motive.
He’s back in the news after a former inmate released a three-part series of books where he says Chris points the finger at his mistress, Nichol Kessinger, for the events that occurred on August 13, 2018.
