British police have identified the man they believe is responsible for the worst terror attack London has seen in more than a decade, while defiant residents on Thursday shared messages of solidarity and returned to business as usual.
Police said Khalid Masood, 52, had previously been convicted on a variety of charges but none were related to terrorism. Masood, a British citizen from Kent, had not been under investigation in recent years. Authorities believe he was most recently living in the West Midlands.
