as posted by the channelWe protested in front of the John Hancock Life Insurance Company in El Segundo, CA on March 22, 2013 as part of Tar Sands Blockade Action Week. Their parent company owns four million shares of TransCanada, the company building the Keystone XL Pipeline.
I would like to correct something I said in my speech. I said the consultant that prepared the State Dept report works for TransCanada. Three of them had prepared reports in the past for TransCanada. And some of their employees used to work for firms that stand to benefit from the building of the pipeline. With the revolving door between government and business, they will most likely work there in the future.
