YouTube Description
as posted by the channelI talk with Bernie Sanders 2016 delegates Bobbi Jo Chavarria, who also was employed by the Sanders campaign in the Inland Empire of CA in 2020, and Mike Wilso, who is also an Assembly District Delegate to the CA Democratic Party, about starting up Occupy COVID19 based on Occupy Sandy, a mutual aid not charity effort after Hurricane Sandy in NY and NJ in 2012. It was deemed more effective than even FEMA or the Red Cross. We talked about how we could initiate a similar program today and how they would work with the contagious aspects of the disease. We also discussed how this could help the Sanders campaign going forward to show folks that Berners care about the collective good and how it could teach people valuable lessons about civics and organizing that they never learned in school.
