YouTube Description
as posted by the channelI interview two Code Pink activists, Julia Norman, a graduate student at American University in Washington, D.C, and Cynthia Papermaster, a long time peace activist from San Francisco, about their recent arrests protesting US complicity in Israel's genocide of Gaza. Cynthia was arrested in San Francisco outside Nancy Pelosi's home for putting bloody hand prints in washable tempura paint on Pelosi's garage. Initially told she would be charged with a misdemeanor, after being arrested weeks later for blocking Pelosi's DC office, she was later charged with a felony for the SF action and held overnight in jail. Julia was arrested for shouting out in a Congressional hearing, held for a short while and released. i will talk with these women about their backgrounds, what drew them to this cause, why they were willing to get arrested and how this genocide and the reaction from US elected officials and fellow citizens, even progressives, has changed them, especially Julia, for good.
