11:44Now PlayingLeslie Merritt, Jr., dubbed the "I-10 Freeway Shooter", is being held on $1,000,000 cash bail in the Maricopa County Jail. His attorneys filed a motion asking the judge to release him on his own recognizance "in light of the material changes in circumstances".
Merritt has been charged in four of the shootings that occurred on Phoenix-area freeways in late August. There were seven additional freeway shootings at the time of his arrest that he has not been charged with and there have been several more shootings since Merritt has been incarcerated.
