Smith sustained a broken wrist after being slammed by the officer. Official claim: The incident occurred due to mistaken identity. The February incident is under review by internal affairs.
In the wake of Ahmaud Arbery's death, GA passed a hate crime bill. The bill states harsher penalties for crimes motivated by race, etc. Cobb County DA states the bill will not apply to the Arbery case. There are three remaining states without hate crime legislation. The three men involved in Arbery's death have been indicted on nine charges. Gregory & Travis McMichael charged with murder
William Bryan filmed the killing and was charged with felony murder.
NYPD officers claimed to be poisoned by a milkshake. Claims have since been debunked, as the officers never were sick. Police unions tweeted support, however, the tweets have since been deleted. Investigators determined that there will be no criminality by Shake Shack.
