The judge presiding over the case, Judge Steven Boyce, ordered the trial be held in Ada County to ensure a fair, unbiased jury can be selected. Prosecutors presented arguments about transporting a jury from Ada County to be sequestered in Fremont County. Daybell is charged with multiple felonies, including first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. The trial is scheduled for January 2023.
