YouTube Description
as posted by the channelTen years after President Obama signed into law “The Kate Puzey Act” meant to provide victim’s services and counseling for Peace Corps volunteers who are sexually abused in the field, Peace Corps volunteers who’ve been allegedly sexually assaulted speak out on Brian Ross Investigates to say they are still not properly protected. One young volunteer Emma Tremblay tells Ross she received hundreds of responses from Peace Corps volunteers when she posted her story online and was threatened by the agency to take down the posts. Congressman Ted Poe who helped pass the Puzey law tells Ross “It looks like it's not much has changed since 2007.” Plus, Kellie Greene the first “victim’s advocate” for volunteers tells Ross the agency only paid "lip service" to the law.
