as posted by the channelThe Sacramento Police Department in California released bodycam footage showing officers shooting a suspect who allegedly assaulted and threatened to kill his wife on July 2. Officers responded to a call about a man allegedly armed with two knives who was threatening to kill his wife, who locked herself in a bathroom. Upon arrival, officers attempted to de-escalate the situation before the man ran back into the house and allegedly broke through the bathroom door and assaulted his wife. Officers confronted the suspect as he was allegedly assaulting his wife and one officer fired his service weapon. The suspect later succumbed to his wounds after receiving medical treatment. The victim was not seriously injured and no officers were injured during this incident, police say.
