as posted by the channelThe Modesto Police Department in California released bodycam footage showing an officer shooting a man who allegedly attacked him with a large knife on July 4. The suspect's mother called 911 stating that her son wasn't taking his medication and allegedly threatened her with a knife. When an officer was speaking with the man, he suddenly grabbed a knife and allegedly attacked the officer with it. The officer responded by discharging his firearm twice, striking the suspect. The suspect was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition, police say. The officer was cut during the incident and received medical attention for his wound.
