8:44Now PlayingThe Houston Police Department in Texas released bodycam and surveillance footage showing an officer shooting a man after he allegedly stole the officer's taser and assaulted him on June 26. Police were called by employees of a department store after the suspect allegedly struck a customer in the head with a wooden table leg. When an officer arrived, the suspect allegedly struck the officer with his fist and slammed him against a metal window frame during a struggle before wrestling the officer's taser out of his hands. The officer shot the suspect one time, striking him before he fled the location. Multiple officers apprehended the suspect shortly after and took the suspect into custody before transporting him to a local hospital. The officer was treated for multiple injuries to his head and face.
