as posted by the channelAuthorities say newly released bodycam footage allegedly shows the moments leading up to a 14-year-old shooting a police officer in December 2021. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said officers responded to a 911 call about car break-ins at an apartment complex before pursuing the boy in a foot chase. Police said the minor allegedly shot Officer Elliot Whitley during the foot chase. The boy, whose name has not been released, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and is still in custody.
