as posted by the channelTwo Alabama cat ladies were convicted on all charges after coaxing stray felines with food in order to trap them for future sterilization, a common practice utilized by approved organizations. The Wetumpka Police Department arrested and charged both 61-year-old Mary Alston and 85-year-old Beverly Roberts with criminal trespassing and other misdemeanors for the incident on June 25. A Wetumpka County judge found the two women guilty on all charges on December 13 and sentenced them to two years of unsupervised probation with an added suspended sentence of 10 days in jail.
