5:03Now PlayingA reportedly "paranoid schizophrenic" man was shot by California police after a wild chase through Culver City on December 18. The suspect's wife told officers her husband was on “day three of insanity” after he allegedly fled the home when police arrived. Suspect Guillermo Medina was fatally shot after a vehicle pursuit turned into a foot chase. Authorities said officers shot after seeing what appeared to be a weapon in Medina’s hand, which was later determined to be a cell phone. Medina’s family has since filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the Culver City Police Department. The Law&Crime Network's Sierra Gillespie has the details.
