Plaintiff Terry Sanderson alleges the famed actress’ skiing was “out of control” when the two collided at Deer Valley Resort seven years ago. Paltrow fired back, countersuing Sanderson for one dollar, claiming his recollection of events was incorrect and that he crashed into her. Read more
Damage amount: A judge rejected Sanderson's initial lawsuit against Paltrow for damages in excess of $3.1 million, alleging that the incident qualified as a hit-and-run. In his updated complaint, Sanderson claims Paltrow was reckless in causing his injuries and is now asking “for more than $300,000.” In an amended filing, the plaintiff requested in excess of $300,000 but in openings, reiterated the claim for $3 million.
