YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThe marine veteran accused of killing a homeless man in New York City speaks out after nationwide criticism — and praise — for a deadly chokehold that made headlines in May 2023. Daniel Penny, the 24-year-old vet, restrained 30-year-old Jordan Neely after Neely made threats to several people, including women and children, while riding the subway. “I was praying police would come,” he said in an interview Sunday. “I couldn’t just sit still.” Neely died as a result of the restraint. A medical examiner ruled Neely's death a homicide determining the cause of death as "compression of neck." Penny was charged with manslaughter.
