YNW Melly has a higher chance of being sentenced to death if a jury finds him guilty of murder due to a recent law passed in Florida. Former trial attorney and Law&Crime Network legal analyst Terri Austin believes “there is no room for any sort of mistake” when determining Melly’s sentence. The new law only requires 8 out of 12 jurors to vote in favor of the death penalty versus the previous law that required a unanimous jury. “Hopefully the right conclusion will be made,” she explained during the Law&Crime Network’s Live Q&A Tuesday. The young rapper is accused of killing his two best friends.
