According to a Sandusky Police Department report, Crose was accused of groping multiple people while waiting in line for the Raptor rollercoaster, including an underage girl. The report states that another parkgoer complained about Crose getting uncomfortably close to him, caressing his torso and hips. When the victim confronted Crose about the unwanted touching, Crose allegedly punched him in the nose. The man's girlfriend also accused Crose of rubbing his buttocks against hers.

Bodycam video shows Sandusky police officers confronting Crose as he exits the Raptor. During the investigation, officers discovered an outstanding warrant for Crose for failure to appear for sentencing on a drug charge in Richland County. Although the couple declined to press charges, Crose was arrested for the outstanding warrant. Later, while patrolling the park, an officer was informed by Cedar Point Security that another victim, a 16-year-old girl, wished to report Crose for sexual assault. The girl claimed that Crose had groped her from behind, caressing her pubic area and putting his hands between her legs. She provided a picture of the man who had touched her, which police confirmed was Crose. Following the girl's report, police charged Crose with sexual imposition. He is scheduled to appear in Sandusky Municipal Court for a pre-trial hearing on September 14.
