Castiglione apologized to Garcia’s family before asking the judge to hand down a prison sentence he thought was “fair and right.” Judge David Ruoff sentenced the convicted killer to 42 years in prison, specifically so that when Castiglione is released from prison, he will be the same age Garcia would have turned this week.
