As the situation escalated, the two individuals refused to comply with the officers' requests, leading to a charged confrontation.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office, in response to the incident, issued a stern statement emphasizing that "the law is real" and that they will not hesitate to enforce it, regardless of an individual's personal beliefs or affiliations. As a result of their actions, both Wogerman and Nabozny were charged with resisting an officer, with one of them facing the additional charge of resisting violently.
