Following the vicious attack, Spejcher also turned the knife on herself, inflicting self-harm. Experts involved in the case concluded that Spejcher was suffering from "Cannabis-Induced Psychosis" at the time she committed the heinous act, which ultimately claimed O'Melia's life.
