Authorities said Chance Sanders allegedly stole a woman’s car while she was shopping. Once Sanders took off, he realized the woman’s two babies were in the backseat but continued to flee the scene. Shamari Smith said she left her car running but assumed she locked it before running into the store. When she came outside, her car and infants were gone. Police said Sanders stole her car within minutes of her entering the store. Sanders later crashed and flipped the vehicle. The children were not injured thanks to the help of witnesses at the scene.
