Tyrese Haspil said he wore a plastic face shield with a baseball cap and sunglasses when he rode an elevator with Saleh in July 2020. Haspil outlined the entire attack for the jury inside a Manhattan courtroom. Law&Crime’s Elizabeth Millner breaks it down.

Saleh was the founder and CEO of Gokada, among other ventures, before his tragic murder. Saleh was Haspil’s boss and a mentor of sorts. Haspil went into graphic detail about his brutal attack on Saleh, explaining he “tased him in the back” when he got off the elevator and “took out a knife” before stabbing him in the neck. The alleged killer went on to detail his motive, claiming he killed Saleh after stealing money from him so he wouldn't "have to pay him back.”
