New Hampshire authorities continued to investigate Harmony's disappearance as they set their sights on her dad. Adam, a career criminal, was not cooperative with police when being questioned about his missing daughter on multiple occasions. When Adam got custody of Harmony in 2018, everything changed for the young girl.
Note: Since this recording Harmony’s mother filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the state of NH claiming the Division for Children, Youth and Families is liable for her death, citing oversight of not properly responding to claims of abuse before she was killed. Now, DCYF aims to dismiss said lawsuit - stating they share no responsibility as Harmony wasn’t in the custody of DCYF or any other New Hampshire officials at the time of her death but in the custody of her father, Adam.
